The service

whatsmyzip.org is a free utility that estimates your ZIP/postal code from network data or your device location, and lets you look up ZIP codes, cities, and IP addresses. It is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.

Accuracy

IP-based geolocation is an estimate of where your network connects to the internet — it is not proof of anyone's physical address and must not be used as such. GPS-based answers match to the nearest ZIP centroid and can differ near boundaries. Do not rely on this service for legal, emergency, or compliance purposes.

Acceptable use

• Personal and reasonable interactive use is welcome.
• Bulk scraping, automated harvesting, or reselling of responses is not permitted; request rates are limited and abusive traffic may be blocked.
• Don't use the service to harass, stalk, or attempt to physically locate any person.
