Privacy
Effective July 15, 2026. The short version: this site has no ads, analytics profile, account, or third-party geocoder. A limited edge cache protects the IP-intelligence service.
What we process
- Your IP address is processed to estimate your ZIP/postal code and network details. IP-intelligence results may be reused from a pseudonymous Cloudflare edge cache for up to 24 hours, or one hour for risk-flagged results. The raw IP is not kept in the application cache key or payload, written to a database, or added to our application log messages.
- Your device location, only if you press the location button and your browser grants it, is sent in a private request body and matched to the nearest supported US ZIP centroid. The application does not cache the coordinates or send them to a third-party geocoder.
- Lookups you type (ZIP codes, cities, IP addresses) are processed to produce the answer. They are not used to build an account, analytics profile, or advertising audience.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad networks.
- No analytics or tracking scripts of any kind.
- No cookies. The only thing kept on your device is your light/dark theme choice, stored locally in your browser and never transmitted.
- No selling, advertising sharing, or user profiling.
Infrastructure
The site runs on Cloudflare's edge network, which processes requests (including IP addresses and standard request metadata) to deliver and protect the service. IP intelligence is provided by our own IP-Lookup.net engine; queries carry no account or browser identifier. Our structured ipbot_call messages record status, timing, and quota totals without the queried IP. Cloudflare may separately retain standard infrastructure and security logs under its service policies.
Map imagery © OpenStreetMap contributors is served through our own server (/tiles): your browser never contacts a third-party tile provider, and your IP address is not forwarded to one. Tile requests are not written to our application logs.
